Pranksters Page Nick Saban at Austin Airport, Humorously Add to Rumors About Texas Coaching Job

Hey, Kenneth Tarr, take some notes because this is how you pull off a prank about a major coaching change.

After rumors swirled earlier in the day that University of Texas head coach Mack Brown would be stepping down — a report he has since refuted, but may be coming to fruition regardless — some fine folks at the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport decided to stir the pot a little more, paging Nick Saban over the intercom.

Saban’s name has been linked to the potential opening at Texas for months now, but despite the traction that some of the reports have gained, the Alabama coach has insisted he’s staying put in Tuscaloosa, much to the chagrin of Longhorn fans.

Those same fans may have thought Christmas had come early on Tuesday, however, when reports began surfacing that one jokester asked an airport employee to page the Bama coach, telling him that his car was waiting for him.

Saban was of course nowhere near Texas, but that’s some Grade-A trolling by one traveling college football fan.
