Runners Stop Mid-Race To Thank 95-Year-Old Veteran (Video)

A road race benefiting the Pat Tillman Foundation turned into an impromptu tribute over the weekend.

Among the spectators watching the 8-kilometer race, which wound through the San Jose area, was 95-year-old World War II veteran Joe Bell, who wore his full military uniform as he cheered on participants from the sidewalk.

As the mob of runners jogged past, they began to branch off from the crowd one by one to approach Bell, shake his hand and thank him for his service.
