NFL: Tennessee Titans at Cincinnati BengalsTennessee Titans running back Shonn Greene was arrested Friday night in Tennessee on multiple driving charges, The Tennessean reports.

According to the report, Greene was charged with a handicap parking violation, driving on a revoked/suspended license, reckless driving and resisting stop/halt/frisk.

The strange sequence all began when Greene parked in a handicap parking space in Franklin, Tenn., located roughly 20 miles from Nashville. When a parking enforcement officer began to approach Greene to give him a citation, he got into his car and “maneuvered” around the officer’s vehicle before speeding off. Police told the Tennessean that Greene almost struck the officer’s vehicle when he was hurrying away from the scene.

Police then caught up to him in traffic shortly after, but once again, he sped away from the officers. Franklin police later identified Greene as the man involved in the series of incidents, and got in touch with the Titans. The team worked with police to get Greene to turn himself in, which he did that night around 9 p.m., after learning there were warrants out for his arrest.

“The entire situation could have been avoided if he would have left that handicap space for who it was intended for,” Sergeant Charles Warner of the Franklin Police Department said per The Tennessean.

Greene, who has missed the last two games due to a hamstring injury, is listed as probable for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. The Titans have yet to comment on the situation.
