Alireza Beiranvand and Gholamreza Rezaei proved it’s actually possible for a goal and its assist to be equally amazing.

Beiranvand and Rezaei, two players for Naft Tehran, combined to score a stunning, game-winning goal against Tractor Sazi in an Iran Persian Gulf Pro League game Friday.

The score was tied at 1 in the 56th minute when Naft Tehran goalkeeper Beiranvand sparked a counter-attack with one of the longest throws we’ve ever seen in a soccer game — at any level.

Not to be outdone, Rezaei ran onto Beiranvand’s long-range delivery and hit a first-time shot from 40 yards out, beating Tractor Sazi’s goalkeeper.

See the goal in the video below at the 2:10 mark. It takes all of five seconds for the ball to travel the length of the field.

Rezaei’s goal, his second of the game, helped Naft Tehran earn a 2-1 win over Tractor Sazi and leapfrog their opponents into the top spot in the Iran Persian Gulf Pro League standings.
