Kevin Garnett is thankful for hecklers this year.

The Brooklyn Nets were all too close to losing to the worst team in the NBA on Tuesday night, but some inspiration from an unlikely source ultimately saved them from an embarrassing defeat.

The Nets held a measly two-point lead over the Philadelphia 76ers with under a minute remaining, when Garnett stepped up and drained a 19-foot jumper with 33 seconds left to save his squad some serious humiliation. It was a clutch shot and one that wouldn’t have been possible without “the girls on the baseline,” apparently.

“I wanna shout the girls out on the baseline for talking that s—,” Garnett said, per ESPN’s Mike Mazzeo. “Thank you.

“I’m not gonna get into (what they said) — sorry Rod Thorn (for cursing) — but this was good,” Garnett continued. “I’m glad they did that. They put a little kick in my juice, and I needed that.”

Garnett finished the game with nine points, nine rebounds, four assists and three steals, to go along with some inspiring hecklers, of course.
