Sometimes the best seats in the house are also the worst seats in the house.

Family night at the ol’ hockey game took a turn for the worse just minutes into the first period of Tuesday night’s game between the Phoenix Coyotes and Dallas Stars. Coyotes forward Kyle Chipchurra and Stars defender Brenden Dillon dropped the gloves and started throwing some punches directly in front of a mom, dad and small daughter in the first row.

The parents did their best to shield their child from the violence — in between laughing at themselves and filming the fight — of course.

The nosebleeds might actually be a better idea for the family of Coyotes fans the next time they head to a game.
