Flames Score Own Goal After Pulling Goalie On Delayed Penalty (Video)

When it rains, it pours, and a torrential downpour is extinguishing the Calgary Flames, who have lost eight of their last 10 games.

The Flames’ latest loss came Saturday night, when they fell 3-2 to the Vancouver Canucks in overtime. The low point for Calgary might have come in the first period, when it pulled goalie Jonas Hiller for an extra skater on a delayed penalty.

That’s when disaster struck.

Yannick Weber was credited with the goal for Vancouver.

Really, there’s not a whole lot the Flames could have done there. That’s just some really bad luck. It’s even worse when you consider, of course, that one goal could have made the difference between winning and losing. But such is life for the Flames right now.
