Julian Edelman might be magic.
The New England Patriots wide receiver single-handedly carried his team’s sluggish offense in the first quarter of Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins, recording six catches for 37 yards to go along with a 6-yard rush.
But one of those six catches was more impressive than the rest. Edelman inexplicably evaded three Dolphins defenders after hauling in the short pass from Tom Brady, as the Miami players missed him altogether and instead tackled each other.
We still aren’t sure how Edelman pulled this off.
