Tedy Bruschi was a member of all three New England Patriots Super Bowl championship teams. The Pats are hoping some of that magic rubs off on their current squad Sunday.

The team announced Saturday that Bruschi will serve as the Patriots’ honorary captain for their Super Bowl XLIX matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.

It will be the seventh time the former linebacker and Patriots Hall of Famer has joined the team’s captains for a coin toss since retiring in 2008. So far, New England is 6-0 in those contests, including 2-0 in the playoffs.

Former Seahawks safety Kenny Easley will serve as Seattle’s honorary captain.
