Jack Eichel is coming for you, Buffalo.
The Boston University star proclaimed as much in one of three videos recently featured on TheSportsJunkies.com. The 18-year-old forward, who is expected to be the second overall pick in this summer’s draft, celebrated a recent win by screaming, “Buffalo, I’m coming for ya,” before chugging a beer (the Sabres currently own the NHL’s worst record).
The Sports Junkies also have video of Eichel drinking out of the Beanpot after his team’s win over Northeastern, and we’re just guessing it wasn’t water in there, either.
Reminder: Eichel is a college student. Regardless, though, the videos have put Eichel in the headlines for the wrong reasons, and it was enough to prompt his head coach, David Quinn, to comment on the issue.
“Yeah, we talked about it,” Quinn said on WEEI’s College Puckcast on Thursday.
Quinn wouldn’t reveal if any punishment had been handed down yet or if any will be handed down in the near future.
“Any discipline will be done in-house, and that’s between Jack and I,” he said.
