A San Diego sports anchor was shot and wounded outside of his home Tuesday, according to multiple reports.

Kyle Kraska, the sports director of San Diego’s CBS affiliate, underwent surgery and is expected to be OK after being shot in the leg and stomach, according to KFMB-TV. A man suspected in the shooting, Mike Montana, surrendered to authorities after a standoff Tuesday night.

According to KABC-TV, police believe Kraska was targeted in the shooting, though a motive has not yet been determined. A neighbor reportedly told police that someone shot through the rear window of Kraska’s Mercedes-Benz. The confrontation reportedly spilled into the street before the alleged gunman fled in a white minivan.

“I heard about eight shots, fast shots and then there was a pause, then I heard, about 15-20 seconds later, there was another 6-8 shots,” neighbor Steven Rowe told KABC-TV.

Kraska is known for his coverage on several television programs. He has covered the San Diego Chargers.
