Tom Brady All Kinds Of Fired Up For Patriots’ Super Bowl Vs. Seahawks

It sounds like Tom Brady, to borrow a line from Pete Carroll, is all kinds of pumped and jacked for the Super Bowl.

The New England Patriots quarterback has the chance to enter even more rarefied air Sunday night in Arizona when he and his team against Carroll’s Seattle Seahawks. With a win, Brady would join Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw as the only quarterbacks to win four Super Bowls.

Brady clearly knows what’s at stake and is unsurprisingly excited. Former teammate Rodney Harrison, who now works for NBC, shared this tidbit during Sunday’s pregame show on the network.

As if he needs it, Brady likely has a little extra motivation entering Sunday’s showdown. Brady’s name has been dragged through the mud recently as part of the ongoing DeflateGate controversy stemming from the AFC Championship Game. Recent developments seem to further prove the story is much ado about very little, but the whole thing might have lit a fire under No. 12.

The Patriots have to hope Brady isn’t too fired up when the game starts. In the Patriots’ last two Super Bowl appearances — both losses — Brady has struggled early. The Patriots were held scoreless in the first quarter of both games, and Brady was flagged for an intentional grounding penalty, resulting in a safety for the New York Giants, in the first quarter of Super Bowl XLVI.

Brady’s 89.7 passer rating in the first quarter this season was his lowest of the four quarters.

With that in mind, maybe Brady should go with some pregame decaf, and he definitely should avoid his own Facebook page, too.
