Adam Lane is a glass-half-full kind of guy.

The Florida running back made headlines for a pretty embarrassing reason in January when he literally pooped his pants during the Birmingham Bowl against East Carolina. Even worse, ESPN cameras caught Lane covering himself with a towel on the sidelines.

Reporters caught up with Lane on Wednesday and naturally asked the Gators freshman how things were going with the whole pooping his pants incident. His answer was pretty awesome.

“It was the best thing that could have happened,” Lane said, via Jacksonville.com’s Richard Johnson. “It got a lot of attention and just put me in a place where I was out there publicly and people knew who I was. I really didn’t get a lot of grief from it.

“A lot of people were really more focused on how well I did in the game more than anything. I feel like it was that way because I embraced it.”

Lane rushed for a career-high 109 yards and a touchdown in Florida’s 28-20 win over ECU and was named the game’s MVP, so he certainly has a point. More importantly, though, it’s refreshing to see Lane look on the bright side of a crappy situation instead of making a stink.
