Baseball Reference Lets You Add Facial Hair To Players For April Fools’ (Photos)

April Fools’ Day bits are typically the worst. Baseball Reference is proving that isn’t always the case, though.

The popular baseball statistics website made us giggle when it created a player page for Will Ferrell following his spring training stint, and it busted out the jokes once again on Wednesday. The site got into the holiday spirit by rolling out its “Tonsorial Consulting Service,” which lets users add mustaches, beards and/or afros to any player in the database.

While this feature isn’t exactly necessary for Mike Napoli, it’s quite phenomenal for giving typically clean-shaven guys like Mike Trout a new look. And you can say goodbye to the Yankees’ ban on facial hair. But if this causes issues with the team, don’t blame Baseball Reference. The site went so far as to post a disclaimer: “Sports Reference is not responsible for any clubhouse conflict this causes among the New York Yankees.”
