Bill Belichick’s busy offseason continued Thursday.

The New England Patriots head coach was on hand for Maryland’s pro day, scouting the Terrapins’ 2015 NFL draft prospects. Belichick was spotted hanging out with Maryland head coach Randy Edsall.

Belichick has a history of bringing Edsall-coached players to the Patriots. He drafted cornerback Darius Butler from Edsall’s days with UConn, and the Patriots have signed offensive lineman Donald Thomas, defensive tackles Joe Vellano and A.J. Francis, cornerback Robert McClain and wide receiver Kevin Dorsey as free agents. Vellano, McClain and Dorsey currently are on the Patriots’ 90-man roster. Edsall is known as a hard-nosed coach, and the presumption is his players can adapt to playing with Belichick, who is similarly no-nonsense, easily.

Wide receivers Stefon Diggs and Deon Long are the Terrapins’ top prospects. Diggs is expected to be drafted in the fifth round, while Long could be selected in the seventh round. Defensive lineman Andre Monroe is undersized at 5-foot-11, 282 pounds, but he’s Maryland’s all-time sacks leader with 25 in three seasons. He had 10.5 sacks in 2014 as a senior.
