Jay Cutler’s ego likely has seen better days.

The Chicago Bears quarterback isn’t exactly the most popular guy in the Windy City, but his stock hit an all-time low at a pet-adoption charity event on March 26. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Anti-Cruelty Society auctioned off a Cutler autographed football, but there was just one little problem with this: Nobody bid on it.

Thaaaat’s right, people chose not donating to a good cause over owning a piece of Cutler memorabilia.

In Cutler’s defense, the attendees weren’t much of “a football crowd,” Society president Dr. Robyn Barbiers told the Tribune, and most of the items auctioned off were theatre tickets and spa treatments.

The story does have somewhat of a happy ending, however. An anonymous bidder called up and offered to buy the football for $100 to give to his son.

We’re guessing Cutler’s response to hearing this story was something along the lines of “Doooon’t caaaaaare.”
