Ali Krieger uses her big legs to perform at the highest level on the soccer field. She now is ready to show them off the world.

Krieger, a star defender on the United States women’s national soccer team, will appear in ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue 2015. Kreiger told ESPNW on Thursday she’s proud to bear all in an effort to demonstrate her pride in herself and her trade.

“It’s important to show your vulnerabilities,” Kreiger said. “I’m proud of my body, I’m proud of my sport, I’m proud of being a female athlete. Being naked is just another aspect of that.”

Krieger, 30, also said she embraces the size of her quads, thighs and calves because they have helped her career progress to the top. Krieger has played 70 games for Team USA and been a standout performer at right back for the United States at the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Krieger plays alongside more well-known teammates like Hope Solo and Alex Morgan, but her appearance in the Body Issue is sure to garner her more attention than she normally receives.

ESPN The Magazine’s Body Issue 2015 hits newstands July 10.
