If you’re a tough guy who can’t be bothered to see the wonder that is the “Pitch Perfect” movie series, you might as well stop reading right now.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, it’s kind of ridiculous how many days we’ve gone without NBA basketball. There was a full week gap between the conference finals and the NBA Finals, which left for plenty of time for the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors to do non-basketball things.
We already saw Stephen Curry riding a mini-horse, and recently, it was LeBron James who took some time away from preparing — and telling everyone about how much he was preparing — for the series to get his mind off of hoops. To do that, LeBron spent a day at the movies, where he checked out the sequel everyone’s raving about, “Pitch Perfect 2.”
James did forget the name of the movie, but was eager to tell reporters Wednesday how he went to “a regular theater” to see the wildly popular movie about a college acapella team.
“At a regular movie theater. I went to go see … I forgot the name of the movie, but … what’s the movie with the girls and they be singing?” James told reporters Wednesday, before remembering the movie’s name. “‘Pitch Perfect 2′ which is unbelievable. Fat Amy is awesome, I love her. Wherever you are, you’re awesome.”
Again, anyone who’s seen the movies knows exactly who he’s talking about when referring to Fat Amy, aka Rebel Wilson, the Australian actress who plays the character. Wilson responded to the high praise shortly after James’ media session.

Luckily, we don’t have to discuss James’ off-day adventures much longer. Game 1 is Thursday night.
