The Boston Celtics’ offseason up to this point has the Isaiah Thomas stamp of approval.

Thomas made the trip to Salt Lake City on Thursday to catch the Celtics’ Utah summer league finale, and he gave his take on the team’s offseason moves in a pregame meeting with reporters.

“For the most part, I like the moves we have made,” the point guard said, via MassLive.com. “And I know (Celtics president of basketball operations Danny Ainge) is probably trying to make more to get better or more players to fit whatever he’s trying to do. I’m down for what he’s doing and I like the new guys.”

The Celtics on Thursday announced the signing of forward Amir Johnson and the re-signing of forward Jonas Jerebko, and Jae Crowder and David Lee reportedly are set to ink deals shortly. Boston’s roster remains jam-packed with both guards and big men, however, leading Thomas to believe Ainge has another trick or two up his sleeve.

“I think he does,” Thomas said. “We’ve definitely got a lot of guards. But it will work itself out. At the end of the day, honestly, every year that I’ve been in the league it’s always worked itself out. So like I said, you just control what you can control, and do your part, and you go from there.”

The Celtics’ summer league squad defeated the San Antonio Spurs 85-71 on Thursday behind 22 points from point guard Marcus Smart.
