They call Wheaties the “breakfast of champions,” so we’re guessing David Ortiz has had a bowl or two in his day.

The Boston Red Sox designated hitter personified what it meant to be a champion in Boston, leading the Red Sox to three World Series titles in his historic career.

None of those championships were more special than the 2004 title, as Ortiz played a major role in helping the Red Sox to erase an 84-year charmpionship drought.

And what better way to honor Ortiz’s accomplishments than putting him on the cover of a Wheaties box?
