Fenway Park Transforms Into Football Field For BC-Notre Dame Game (Photos)

The last time football was played at Fenway Park was Dec. 1, 1968, when the Boston Patriots played their last game at the historic ballpark. But football returns to Fenway on Nov. 21, and the Boston Red Sox grounds crew has been hard at work making sure the park is ready to go.

The 103-year-old park has undergone a complete transformation from a baseball diamond to a football field, and the amount of effort that went into it is impressive. Red Sox groundskeeper Dave Mellor has been giving updates on Instagram since Monday, and it’s definitely not the crew’s usual workload.
