Skip Bayless: Tom Brady On Mission To ‘Deflate Every Opponent’ (Video)

The Denver Broncos’ convincing win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday night wasn’t enough to sway Skip Bayless.

The polarizing ESPN personality said Monday on “First Take” that Tom Brady and the New England Patriots will defeat the Broncos when the teams square off Nov. 29 in Denver. Bayless’ confidence in the Pats stems from his faith in No. 12, who is having an otherworldly season on the heels of Deflategate.

“Tom Brady, I’m here to tell you again, is playing at the highest level any quarterback in the history of this game has ever played at,” Bayless said during a debate with co-host Stephen A. Smith. “Starting with last year’s Super Bowl all the way through last Thursday night’s Miami devastation, Tom Brady, as I keep pointing out, is on a mission to deflate every opponent — to get even with (NFL commissioner) Roger Goodell by getting even with the National Football League.

“He is trying to flatten every opponent, to devastate, annihilate, to leave them on the canvas groping for a clue of how to get back up off the canvas.”

Cheesy Deflategate jokes aside, the Patriots’ offense sure looks unstoppable right now. New England has scored at least 30 points in each of its last six games amid its 7-0 start, and the Patriots are averaging an NFL-best 35.6 points per game.

The Broncos’ defense seems like the only unit capable of slowing Brady and Co, especially after stopping Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in Week 8. But Bayless thinks Brady’s lights-out play will elevate everyone around him later this month and beyond.

“I think this team is on a 16-0 mission that could very well lead to 19-0,” Bayless said.
