Alabama arguably has been the best team in college football over the last three months, and the Southeastern Conference champion will try to take its next step toward another national title in Thursday night’s Cotton Bowl matchup against Michigan State.
The Spartans enter this College Football Playoff semifinal after winning the Big Ten championship game over previously unbeaten Iowa. Alabama easily defeated Florida in the SEC title game.
