Mike Ditka No Fan Of Barack Obama, ‘The Worst President We’ve Ever Had’

Mike Ditka is a legendary Chicago figure, so you’d have to think President Barack Obama is a fan. However, the feeling certainly isn’t mutual.

Ditka, who’s revered in the Windy City for his time as a Bears player and then coach, is outspoken, to say the least. He already has been more than willing to share his thoughts on politics, endorsing Donald Trump for president.

On Friday, Ditka slammed the current president, labeling Obama, who’s from Chicago, “the worst president we’ve ever had.”

Ditka wasn’t done.

“Barack Obama’s a fine man. I mean, he’s pleasant. He would be great to play golf with,” Ditka told WABC-AM on Friday, per the Chicago Sun Times. “He’s not a leader. This country needs leadership. It needs direction. It needs somebody that steps up front. We need somebody like Ronald Reagan.

“Every once in a while, you’re going to get punched in the chops. But you keep going forward. That’s all there is to it. You know it’s not always going to be a perfect situation, but to do what he does, there’s no leadership there. I think that becomes very disgusting to me.”

Ditka’s criticism of Obama isn’t new. Ditka once hypothesized he could have stopped Obama from getting to the White House by running for Senate. He decided not to, and Obama won the seat unopposed. Four years later, Obama won the presidency.

“Biggest mistake I’ve ever made,” Ditka said in 2013. “Not that I would have won, but I probably would have, and he wouldn’t be in the White House.”

Unsurprisingly, Ditka is sticking with Trump, saying he’d “probably” vote for the Republican front-runner if the election were held today.
