The New England Patriots are overhauling their wide receiver depth chart.

The Patriots don’t plan to re-sign unrestricted free-agent receiver Brandon Gibson, a source told NESN.com on Thursday. The Patriots signed Gibson to a one-year contract last offseason, but he was placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL suffered during the preseason.

Gibson alluded in a tweet he wouldn’t return to the Patriots in 2016.

The Patriots released wide receiver Brandon LaFell on Wednesday. Restricted free-agent receiver Brian Tyms posted a farewell to Patriots fans Wednesday, announcing he would not return to New England.

Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, Keshawn Martin, Aaron Dobson, Matthew Slater and Chris Harper remain on the Patriots’ roster at receiver.
