The Pittsburgh Steelers might have to play the 2016 NFL season without one of their most important offensive players.

Steelers wide receiver Martavis Bryant could be suspended for the entire season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy, per Dejan Kovacevic of DKonPittsburghSports.

Kovacevic also reported Bryant will appeal.

Most of the top free-agent wide receivers have already signed, so Pittsburgh’s best chance of finding another wideout probably will come in the 2016 NFL Draft in May.

Bryant was suspended for the first four games of last season for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. He returned for a Week 5 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs and finished the 2015 campaign with 50 receptions, 765 yards and six touchdowns in 11 games.

Bryant and Antonio Brown have become one of football’s most prolific receiving duos, but the Steelers might not have that luxury next season.
