Chris Colabello has become the latest player to be suspended for violating Major League Baseball’s performance-enhancing drug policy.

The league on Friday suspended the Toronto Blue Jays first baseman 80 games after he tested positive for a performance-enhancing substance.

Colabello, a Milford, Mass., native and Assumption College product, has appeared in 225 games for the Blue Jays and Minnesota Twins since making his MLB debut in 2013. The 32-year-old is a career .257/.317/.424 hitter with 24 home runs and 111 RBIs to his credit.

Colabello has seen action in 10 games so far this season, going 2-for-29 with two walks and nine strikeouts. His lone RBI came in a 5-3 win over the Boston Red Sox on Sunday at Fenway Park.
