Pat Tillman is a name Americans will never forget.
The former NFL safety turned down a chance to further his professional football career to enlist in the U.S. military, and he died serving his country in 2004.
On this Memorial Day, we salute Tillman, other professional athletes who died at war and all the brave men and women who lost their lives protecting and fighting to defend the United States of America.
