Tom Brady Honors Pat Tillman, Veterans With Memorial Day Facebook Post

Tom Brady took a break from his usual zany Facebook antics Monday to pay respect to those who have fought and who continue to fight to preserve the freedom we enjoy.

Brady thanked the veterans with a touching post that also included a shoutout to former Arizona Cardinals safety Pat Tillman, who was killed in combat in 2004 after leaving professional football in 2002 to enlist in the United States Army.

Brady’s been a Facebook All-Star since joining the social media scene largely because of his humorous posts. The New England Patriots quarterback perfectly put everything into perspective with his Memorial Day tribute, though.

Hats (and helmets, in Brady’s case) off to the real heroes.
