Jimmy Garoppolo, Jacoby Brissett Both Present For Patriots Practice

FOXBORO, Mass. — The New England Patriots have two quarterbacks healthy enough to practice.

That’s significant, since Jimmy Garoppolo is dealing with a shoulder injury and Jacoby Brissett has a thumb ailment. Brissett had his right wrist and thumb taped during the beginning of practice open to the media.

The Patriots had perfect practice attendance with all 53 players on their active roster, including new defensive tackle John Hughes, and 10-man practice squad present.

Patriots tight end AJ Derby wore a black jersey as the team’s lone practice player of the week. Derby played quarterback in college and warmed up his arm before last Tuesday’s practice, so it’s worth speculating whether he was the team’s scout-team quarterback.
