FOXBORO, Mass — If Southwest Airlines needs a new face for their “Wanna Get Away?” ad campaign, Byron Maxwell might be their man.
The Miami Dolphins cornerback already had suffered one embarrassing moment Sunday at Gillette Stadium when New England Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett put him to the turf with a brutal stiff arm in the third quarter.
But Maxwell’s rough day wasn’t done. Early in the fourth quarter, Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount turned the corner on a run near New England’s sideline and saw Maxwell standing in his path. So, Blount decided to just jump right over him.
.@LG_Blount is hurdling humans AGAIN!
Just another day at the office. 😳 #MIAvsNE https://t.co/nf8wTEjhqL

If Blount’s 26-yard run from the Patriots’ own 19-yard line wasn’t worse enough for Maxwell, it appears Blount actually kicked the Dolphins cornerback in the head as he leaped over him.

Blount also added a nine-yard touchdown run in the third quarter in a pretty impressive day for the veteran running back.
