Rob Gronkowski wasn’t in Denver to celebrate the New England Patriots’ eighth consecutive AFC East title, but Martellus Bennett made sure the injured tight end was there in spirit.

After the Patriots’ 16-3 win over the Broncos, Bennett, fellow tight end Matt Lengel and fullback James Develin posed for a photo with one of the team’s divisional championship T-shirts. Bennett posted the photo to Instagram with the caption, “Holding down the East for our boy Gronk.”

The Patriots have not lost since Gronkowski’s back injury landed him on season-ending injured reserve, reeling off consecutive wins over the Los Angeles Rams, Baltimore Ravens and Broncos.

Bennett caught two passes for 35 yards Sunday, including a 34-yard catch-and-run that helped set up a Stephen Gostkowski field goal.
