The Bills Are Literally Paying People To Come To Their Game Vs. Browns

A ticket to most NFL games will cost you upward of $100. But all you need to watch the Buffalo Bills play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday is a shovel and a can-do attitude.

The Bills’ Week 15 matchup against the winless Browns, already unappetizing to begin with, could be made more unwatchable by the expected wet snow and freezing rain that’s forecasted in Buffalo this weekend.

That also poses a problem for maintenance crews at New Era Field, who will be charged with clearing the playing field of the gross, slushy mix. So, the Bills decided to get creative.

That’s right, folks. If you live near Buffalo, the Bills are offering to pay you to help shovel their field — and if you shovel long enough, you’ll have the distinct pleasure of watching teams with a combined record of 6-20 slug it out for three hours.

In all seriousness, this is a pretty good idea, as any Buffalo fan 18 or older (those younger than 18 need proper working papers) can earn $40 and a free ticket to an NFL game for four hours of shoveling. The team is even offering lunch and dinner breaks Saturday, per Buffalo’s WGRZ.com.

Still the fact that the Bills are, in essence, paying people to come watch them play a terrible team wasn’t lost on the internet.

Hey, at least they tried.
