Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Shares Injury Update, Reveals Target Return Game

The Boston Celtics are littered with injuries, but the team soon could be getting back one of its starters.

Jaylen Brown has been out of action since suffering a scary fall in the Celtics’ win over the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 8. Luckily for Brown, he avoided a nightmarish injury, though he did spend time in the league’s concussion protocol.

And much to Boston’s delight, the second-year guard could be making his return to the court this weekend. Judging from Brown’s latest injury update, it sounds like a distinct possibility.

There’s a chance Brown will be the only currently injured Celtic to return this season. Daniel Theis’ rookie campaign is over after season-ending knee surgery, and Marcus Smart will be sidelined for at least 6-8 weeks after undergoing thumb surgery. As for Kyrie Irving, the star point guard also might be looking into a procedure on his injured knee following a second medical opinion.

With these other injuries in mind, there’s no doubt the C’s need Brown back in the fold in a big way.
