Sometimes, it's easy to forget about the simple things in life — the love of the game, the thrill of competition, a masterful armpit serenade.
The residents of Dublin, Ga., keep these things close to their heart, and all of them were on full display during the 2010 Summer Redneck Games.
Among the competitions were watermelon seed spitting, redneck horseshoes (played with a toilet rim), bobbing for pigs’ feet and the ever-popular mud pit belly flop.
What started as a lighthearted goof meant to play into the jokes that a "bunch of rednecks" would be running the 1996 Atlanta Olympics has become a local sensation with all proceeds going toward local charities.
