Fernando Torres has yet to score a goal in Chelsea blue, but according to Wigan FC manager Roberto Martinez, the striker was well worth the £50 million price tag.

Torres extended his scoreless streak against Wigan on Saturday, when Chelsea played to a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge, but Martinez believes the scorer will eventually find his touch, and Torres' talent will be well worth the amount dished out at the very end of the January transfer window, ESPN.com reports.

"Fernando Torres is going to be a bargain for Chelsea at the end of his contract," Martinez said. "I have no doubts about it.

Torres has scored nine goals through 30 games played this season, but all were scored during his time with Liverpool, and he has yet to register a point with the Blues. Martinez is convinced that once Torres settles into his relatively new position in London, however, he will have no trouble living up to his large contract.

"It's difficult now. There's a lot of expectation," Martinez said. "When he came on, he was a real threat. He fouls the keeper and he gets three points for the team. And that's experience that you buy with that sort of player.''

Torres will get his next opportunity to score on Tuesday, when the Blues take on Manchester United in a Champions League match at Old Trafford.
