The New England Patriots traded up to the No. 21 spot in the first round of 2012 NFL Draft.
The Patriots moved up, after trading with the Cincinatti Bengals, and selected Syracuse defensive end Chandler Jones with the pick.
Jones, the brother of UFC fighter Jon "Bones" Jones, is a massive defensive lineman listed at 6-foot-5 and 265 pounds. He missed five games in 2011 at Syracuse, but was very productive when on the field with 39 tackles, 4.5 sacks and an interception.
The Patriots traded one of their first-round picks (27th overall) and a third rounder (93rd overall) to complete the deal, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
New England traded up for a second time in the first round on Thursday night, swapping picks with Denver to move up No. 25. With the pick they selected Alabama linebacker Dont'a Hightower.
