Former Patriots linebacker Gary Guyton might be close to finding a new home.
Guyton will visit the Dolphins next week, according to a source. It's unclear if a signing is imminent, but the Dolphins want to get a closer look at Guyton, who spent four seasons with the Patriots.
Guyton was a very valuable role player for his first three years in New England, but things went south in 2011. His playing time decreased later in the season, and he was a healthy scratch for all three playoff games. Because of that, sources told NESN.com last month Guyton would look for an opportunity elsewhere.
Guyton has plenty of raw athletic talent, and a change of scenery could help him revive his career.
