Magic Johnson Excited for Dwight Howard to Join Lakers, Applauds Mitch Kupchak, Jim Buss

Lakers fans were not the only people pumped up about their team's trade for Dwight Howard. Even a former Lakers great, Magic Johnson, expressed his satisfaction with the blockbuster four-team deal that landed Howard in Los Angeles.

The Lakers franchise has a long history of great big men, from George Mikan to Wilt Chamberlain and from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to Shaquille O'Neal. Howard now joins that list in a move that prompted Johnson to applaud Lakers owner Jim Buss and general manager Mitch Kupchak.
