Floyd Mayweather is known as a pretty high-stakes gambler.
He may not have reached Charles Barkley levels as of yet, but he’s certainly getting there. On at least a couple occasions, Mayweather has won money betting on the Patriots, and his fiancee, Shantel Jackson, has also been known to place a wager or two.
Still, betting on the Pats makes a certain amount of sense, since they’re usually a pretty safe choice most weeks. But betting on the Golden State Warriors to best the Miami Heat in South Beach? Mayweather may be getting a little reckless.
After the contest, which the Warriors did indeed win 97-95, Jarrett Jack was giving a fairly innocuous interview, when he probably let a little more slip than he should have.
“Floyd Mayweather put a little bug in my ear, told me he put a little bet on us. Floyd is no stranger to the casino, said he put $100,000 on us,” Jack told Comcast SportsNet.
Now, Dwyane Wade may be on the decline, but the Heat are still a pretty good basketball team. Golden State? Not so much. So who knows if Mayweather had some tip the rest of us aren’t privy to, but that’s a pretty bold wager — one that certainly worked out well for him.
Check out Jack’s all-too revealing interview in the video below.
But really, they’re dying on the inside.
“Since it became public that I told league officials about the [bounty] program, I have been vilified and subjected to slanderous lies. It has been said … that I ‘pledged vengeance on the Saints,’ and that I retracted my claims after first making them. As you know, none of that is true. Having people tell vicious lies about me has not been easy for me and my family.”

Sorry, Sanchez. But not really.
The only thing worse than the Eagles offense is drafting Mark Sanchez with the fifth overall pick in the 2009 draft.

This argument, which ended up in a shooting, apparently originated with a dispute over the Bulls-76ers game. Sports aren’t life or death, folks. At least they shouldn’t be.
