Real Madrid’s Jose Mourinho will not continue with the club next season, according to an Italian journalist who spoke with the Portuguese manager.
Tony Damascelli, a journalist of Italian daily ‘Il Giornale,’ explained during a TV show that Mourinho talked to him about his future plans during a conference in Dubai at the end of 2012.
“I personally spoke with Mourinho and he said ‘it’s a politics issue. I cannot continue in Madrid.’ He is referring to the environment, a group of fans, a part of the club, and a part of the team,” Damascelli said.
“Then I asked him if he liked Paris, and literally he answered, ‘Could be,’” Damascelli said in reference to a possible move to Paris Saint-Germain.
The journalist’s declaration is the latest chapter of the Real Madrid-Mourinho saga. On Monday night, journalist Sara Carbonero, who is Iker Casillas‘ girlfriend, told a Mexican TV station that there is a division in Real Madrid’s locker room between Mourinho and some of the players.
