The first team to overhaul their uniforms with a Nike edge was the Seattle Seahawks in 2012. It appears the Jacksonville Jaguars will be next.
The Jaguars will introduce a new logo on Tuesday at 4 p.m., according to Uni Watch. The new uniforms will be unveiled in mid-April and will feature “a Nike edge with a lot more gold,” according to Pete Prisco of CBS Sports. Prisco also tweeted that there would be “little teal” in the new jerseys.
The Jaguars had just redesigned their uniforms in 2009, but that was done by Reebok. The 2009 overhaul eliminated much of the gold in the uniform, and added black and white piping down the sides of the jerseys.
There’s no word on whether the Jaguar helmet logo will keep the teal tongue.
