On Sunday, a report came out from the Boston Herald that Gronkowski would need a fourth surgery on his broken forearm to remove a plate. If the area is still infected, the tight end could miss the beginning of the 2013 season.
But Gronkowski’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, said on WSVN TV that a fourth surgery has not been scheduled and that Gronkowski may not need one, according to Ben Volin of the Palm Beach Post. Rosenhaus also said “that type of speculation is way off. No determinations have been made” regarding Gronkowski missing the beginning of the season.
So in summary, Gronkowski may or may not need a fourth surgery, and Rosenhaus would neither confirm nor deny what will happen five months from now when the season starts.
