Wojciech Szczesny didn’t wait long to gloat.
Less than two hours after helping Arsenal earn a hard-fought 1-0 victory over local rival Tottenham Hotspur, the Gunners’ goalkeeper decided to do a little trolling. He celebrated the win by going home and playing a short song on his piano. He recorded the session and posted it on his Facebook timeline.
The song he played — “When the Saints Go Marching in” — is familiar to most Premier League soccer fans, particularly those of Tottenham. Spurs fans sing it (replacing “saints” with “Spurs”) at every game at Tottenham’s home stadium, White Hart Lane.
Arsenal secured North-London bragging rights for a few months with Sunday’s victory, and the 23-year-old Szczsney ended the song with fist pump and a smile, leaving little doubt as to his intentions.
