Get ready to see Wes Welker back on the field at Gillette Stadium on Sunday night.
There was some doubt whether Welker would play after he suffered a concussion against the Chiefs. But the Broncos announced Welker passed his concussion tests. He’s officially listed as “probable” for the Broncos-Patriots game, but interim head coach Jack Del Rio is making it sound like a sure-thing that Welker plays.
“If you had the ‘definitely will go’ category, he’d probably be on there,” Del Rio said.
Well, such a category exists. It’s called removing him from the injury report.
Welker’s buddy Tom Brady was right when he said on Wednesday that his former slot receiver would “definitely” play.
