Keyshawn Johnson was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic battery charge Monday, a law enforcement source told TMZ.com.
The former NFL wide receiver got into a fight with his ex-girlfriend in Calabasas, Calif., and smashed her phone, causing a gash to her hand, TMZ reported. Johnson was released after being arrested and booked, making $20,000 bail.
The ESPN NFL analyst and his ex-girlfriend were arguing over marriage and have an “up-and-down relationship,” sources told TMZ.
Johnson played 11 seasons in the NFL with the New York Jets, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Dallas Cowboys and Carolina Panthers. He was in the news last May when he called the police on Justin Bieber for reckless driving in their Calabasas neighborhood.
