Joe Mikulik once again proved he’s the Lou Piniella of the minor leagues.

Mikulik, a longtime minor league manager, is famous for his on-field arguments and tirades. His first two major outbursts came when he was leading the Single-A Asheville Tourists. Even now that he’s managing the Myrtle Beach Pelicans, Mikulik proved he’s still as angry as ever.

The fiery manager argued with home plate umpire Adam Beck over a call in the fifth inning during Sunday’s game against the Salem Red Sox. Mikulik started the argument by throwing his hat and sliding into home plate twice.

But that’s just the beginning of this episode.

We’ve seen managers toss bases and bats, throw water coolers, but stripping out of some clothes a definitely a new one.

The attempt to fire up his team didn’t work, though, and the Pelicans fell 9-1 to Salem.
