Ray RiceRay Rice isn’t going away quietly.

The former Baltimore Ravens running back will appeal his indefinite suspension on Monday, according to multiple reports. The news was first reported by ProFootballTalk.com on Sunday night.

Rice is currently serving the indefinite ban after video surfaced last week of the running back punching his then-fiancee in the face inside an Atlantic City, N.J., casino elevator back in February. He was also released by the Ravens shortly after the video was released.

According to NFL.com, Rice and the NFL Players’ Association will appeal the suspension on the grounds that the NFL suspended him twice for the same offense. The NFL originally suspended Rice for just two games. However, the league upgraded that to “indefinite” after the new video was released .

ProFootballTalk.com reports that Rice is expected to argue that he told the truth to the Ravens and the NFL while explaining the situation to the two organizations.
