The “Monday Night Football” matchup between the New York Giants and Indianapolis Colts could have been summed up in one play.

The Colts embarrassed the suddenly hapless Giants with a 40-24 win that wasn’t even as close as a 16-point deficit would indicate. The Colts jumped out to an early lead, one they certainly weren’t going to let go.

It’s fitting, too, because that’s exactly what wide reciever T.Y. Hilton did late in the second quarter. Indy quarterback Andrew Luck threw a ball into the end zone, a pass that looked destined to become an interception.

Here’s what the play looked like through the lens of a nearby camera. Giants cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie sure looks ready to pick off that pass.

Hilton wasn’t going to let that happen, however. The wideout jumped and wrested the ball from Rodgers-Cromartie. The seemingly sure pick turned into a Colts touchdown, pretty much encapsulating the entire game right then and there.

A thankful Luck raved about the catch after the game.

“Just a great effort by him,” Luck told reporters. “He’s a warrior. He has a big heart, he’s going to fight for every ball. And that’s all the guys, they fight for every ball that’s in the air and you love that as a quarterback. You feel like if the situation comes up, you can throw it up and he’s going to make a play. So, he did a hell of a job.”
