Arsenal’s Yaya Sanogo and Wojciech Szczesny play with Aaron Ramsey every day, but the second goal he scored Tuesday shocked them as much as it did observers around the world, who only see him once or twice each week.

Ramsey scored a sensational half-volley in Arsenal’s 4-1 win over Galatasaray in the UEFA Champions League. The goal was one of the best of the Arsenal midfielder’s career and ranks among the top strikes in this season’s Champions League.

Arsenal was leading 2-0 in the 29th minute when a clearance reached Ramsey, who was standing 35 yards from Galatasaray’s goal. Instead of controlling the ball and passing to a teammate, Ramsey struck it … perfectly.

Sanogo and Szczesny had priceless reactions to Ramsey’s stunner.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger substituted Ramsey at halftime. Ramsey already had two goals to his name, and Arsenal has a Premier League game against Newcastle on Saturday. Wenger is hoping a fresh Ramsey will add to his growing goal ledger in the coming days and weeks.
